It didn’t happen in Bremen, but many older residents will remember the mysterious 1973 train derailment in Wyatt that killed engineer Glen Perkins and (pictured above) train fireman Delroy Liepelt. It was blamed on an unknown person breaking the padlock and switching the rails from the main line to a siding that resulted in a terrific crash.

The FBI became involved and worked the case for six years before deciding it had gone cold.
