In February, members of the Huff family visited the History Center and reviewed family research with this author. We found census and obituary documents, viewed family photos in our collection and theirs, and uncovered numerous articles in the archives of the Bremen Enquirer.
Steve Huff, Tom Huff, Janet Huff, John Huff, and Kathy Smith gathered in Bremen to discuss the Huff line descended from Franz Huff and including John and Clayton Huff, who ran the Huff Furniture store and Huff Funeral Home, as well as the Nufer side of their family, with the dark scandal of the death of Alfred Nufer in 1919.
They took lunch at the venerable Hoople’s saloon and shared family photos that I’ve added to Historic Bremen’s collection. You can view them in the Flickr album below.
