Here is a short list of anniversaries that I’m aware of.

  • 2024 was the 125th anniversary of the 1899 establishment of the Bremen Telephone Company, started by the Koontz Brothers out of their drug store.
  • 2024 was also the 100th anniversary of the 1924 police department building (originally the town hall).
  • 2025 is the 150th anniversary of the 1875 building of the Dietrich building–now the B Fit.
  • 2025 is also the 150th anniversary of the 1875 construction of the 3rd Lutheran church, which is now the Community and Performing Arts Center.
  • 2025 is also the 50th anniversary of the 1975 establishment of the Wooden Peel.
  • 2025 is also the 25th anniversary of the 2020 establishment of Jane’s Park.
  • 2026 will be the 175th anniversary of the 1851 platting of the original town of Bremen (Maple to North, East to Marshall streets).
  • 2027 will be the 125th anniversary of the 1902 placement of the cannon at the Bremen cemetery.
