Step inside the Dietrich-Bowen House in Bremen, built in 1900 by prominent businessman Peter Dietrich, which was once home to locally famous Governor Otis “Doc” Bowen. This tour highlights original details, family stories and the home’s place in our community’s past. Please note, the tour includes stairs and is not wheelchair accessible. Tickets are $20 each and available in-person, online, and over the phone. Your purchase supports the Marshall County Historical Society’s work to preserve local history and offer educational programs for all ages. Historic Bremen volunteers will be present to support. A very nice booklet on the house will be provided.

The house at 304 N Center Street was designed by Nappanee architect Henry Frazier to replace an earlier house that straddled two lots. It was home to Peter and his daughter, then to the Thomas family (who had the Bremen tile mill), the Bowens, and others. It’s now owned and restored by Michael and Andreea Cope.
