The powers that be are in the process of digitizing the Bremen Enquirer and making it available online. Hoosiers can access it—and many other Indiana newspapers—for free via Inspire, a collaboration with the Indiana State Library and their Hoosier State Chronicles website. Currently, just the first few years from 1889 to about 1894, the Brook Bowman era, are available, but there will be more to come.

EDIT: Just a week later, they’ve already made several more decades available and searchable.

After three years, the Enquirer material will be available for free to all on the Hoosier State Chronicles site, which already offers many Hoosier newspapers this way.
