We say goodbye to our friend Dean Kimble, who did three history chats for us on his life and family fur business. He was struck down in the prime of life at the age of 102.
Dean was a woodworker and musician in addition to running the family fur business and was babysat by his grandfather August Dettbrenner, a blacksmith, in the 1920s. He had many fascinating stories about his life and times.
You can browse the family history research we have on the Kimble family (and his wife’s family, the Hiesters) on our Flickr archive.
Dean did three History Chats. This one is on his childhood.
