Recently, this author had the pleasure of sitting with fellow Historic Bremen board-member Charlene Beery and looking through her family collection of more than 100 old photographs that stretch back more than 100 years. Her family, the Rouches, came to Bremen from Wakarusa, but had family close by, particularly the Schutz [sheets] family. Her grandparents were John & Susan Rouch and David & Caroline Schutz.

Charlene graciously loaned the collection to Historic Bremen to digitize. The full collection has been scanned and is available on our Flickr account while it is being researched. Below is a selection.
